Easy Crockpot Cheese Grits

This is an easy weeknight meal you don’t have to think about. It’s also perfect for a crowd. You can’t beat our easy crockpot cheese grits! We always use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup afterwards. Add 1 cup stone ground grits and 5 cups water to the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Once grits are cooked add 1 stick of butter and stir, add 10 oz. of shredded cheese and stir. Add salt to taste. Serves 3-4 people.

Helpful hint, most crockpots can hold up to 3 cups of grits. So if you are wanting to make for a crowd multiply this recipe by 3. Perfect for a potluck, holidays or a party!

Ingredients: Serves 3-4 people

1 cup Stone Ground White Grits

5 cups water

1 stick of butter or margarine

10 oz. of shredded mild cheddar

Salt to taste
